This is a recipe that I got from my mother-in-law. It is great for holiday and dinner parties when you want to provide an adult beverage that almost everyone will enjoy.

2 tea bags
1 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
3 1/2 cups water
6 oz. frozen OJ or lemonade
1 1/2 cups brandy

  1. Steep 2 tea bags in 1 cup boiling water for 20 minutes.
  2. Boil 3 1/2 cups water; add 3/4 cup sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Mix together tea and sugar water and let cool for 10 minutes.
  4. Add 6 oz frozen orange juice or lemonade. Sometimes I use 1/2 OJ and 1/2 lemonade.
  5. Add 1 1/2 cups brandy [adjust to taste] and mix.
  6. Freeze in a large plastic container overnight.

Serve a spoonful of slush w/ Ginger Ale, Sprite or 7-Up.

We made these this weekend at a pool opening, they were fabulous, we'll be drinking them all summer! Brenda Gustafson
