• Hobo Stew
  • Has many names but it is a family favorite for cooking in the embers or fire.
    • Foil ( preferably heavy duty)
    • Ground beef patties ( hand formed/ nice and thick)
    • Idaho potatoes ( Sliced)
    • Onion (Sliced)
    • Can of Corn
    • Can of stewed tomatoes
    • Butter
    • Salt and Pepper
    • Anything else you like
  • Layout a piece of foil for each person. - (Make sure it is large enought to seal well)
  • Layer potatoes, butter, seasoning, onion, slices,and meat patty then spoon corn and tomatoes over the top
  • Seal well and place directly in the coals
  • Turn during cooking
  • If the coals are hot it does not take very long but we have never timed it... my guess is about 20 minutes max.
  • If the fire is still burning place packet at the edge in coals and turn frequently
